Call for submissions:

The Call of the JABBERWOCKY

We are looking for your short and silent films/videos that help untangle or tangle further into Jabberwocky.

Per Wikipedia, "Jabberwocky is a nonsense poem written by Lewis Carroll and included in his 1871 novel Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There, a sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The book tells of Alice's adventures within the back-to-front world of a looking glass." We'll share some specific lines from the poem shall follow to give further inspiration.

Per Donovan.

We are asking film/video makers to submit silent films, videos, and/or animations that will be accompanied by a live electroacoustic and well-costumed orchestra, the Bodice Cobra Philharmonia. This program will be projected through part of an installation Mindy Rose Schwartz will be building for her exhibition at Terrain Exhibitions in Oak Park, in early May.

The screening date is Saturday, May 9th.

A Chicago screening will also take place in May, TBD.

Submission deadline:
Friday, April 17, 2015

Please note, Terrain is across from an elementary school; the closer to PG/PG-13, the better.

*All films/videos should be under 5 mins.
